Yves Maiden Heart (also known as Yves L'esprit de fille or Otome Heart) is a famously vigorous Japanese shrub rose bred by Imai Horticulture. A standout cultivar in the prestigious Yves line, it is highly celebrated for having the best disease resistance of the entire series, an exceptional multi-layered perfume, and a nearly thornless growth habit.

Characteristics

  • Color: Ivory-white outer petals elegantly blushing into a soft pink, pink-orange, or lavender-purple core at the heart.
  • Type: Japanese Shrub Rose — grows as a fast-growing, tall, slim, and mostly thornless upright plant.
  • Fragrance: Intensely strong and complex; a sweet citrus profile featuring layers of orange, lemon, lemongrass, and warm vanilla.
  • Bloom Size: Large, averaging 3 to 4.5 inches wide with medium-to-full petals that form beautifully cupped clusters.
