Description

For Your Home rose is a charming Japanese variety bred by Takunori Kimura for Rosa Orientis in 2012. Dedicated to British designer Cath Kidston, this modern shrub rose is highly popular for its extreme heat tolerance and ability to maintain its romantic shape even through intense summer conditions.

Characteristics

  • Color: Deep vibrant magenta-pink; occasionally develops a delicate white outer margin in spring and deepens in tone by autumn.
  • Type: Upright Shrub Rose / Floribunda style — produces heavily branched, multi-headed flower clusters.
  • Fragrance: Moderate, very elegant, sweet green tea perfume.
  • Bloom Size: Medium to large, averaging 3.5 to 4 inches (9–11 cm) wide with over 41 petals.
  • Hardiness: USDA Zones 5–10.
  • Season: Continual, rapid four-season repeat-bloomer that flowers every 4 to 6 weeks

Perfect For

  • Balconies, patios, and courtyard pots are due to their exceptionally tidy, upright growth habit.
  • Hot, humid, or tropical climates where other pink roses completely lose their shape.
  • Consistent cut-flower clusters require vibrant, non-fading color.

Care Tips

Plant in full sun and fertile, well-draining soil, watering deeply at the base to build a strong root system, and prune lightly in early spring while reducing fertilizer during cold spells to prevent petals from overcrowding.
