Characteristics

  • Color: A rich golden-yellow that gracefully softens to a creamy lemon-yellow at the outer edges over time.
  • Type: English Shrub — grows into a tidy, compact, and naturally rounded 4-foot frame with glossy emerald foliage.
  • Fragrance: Exceptionally strong and complex; features a powerful fruity aroma heavily accented with lemon notes.
  • Bloom Size: Large, averaging 3.5 to 5 inches wide, forming an informal rosette packed with over 75 petals.
  • Hardiness: USDA Zones 5–11.
  • Season: Prolific repeat-bloomer, generating continuous, heavy flushes from late spring until late autumn frost.

Perfect For

  • Containers and patio pots because its manageable 4-by-4-foot footprint adapts beautifully to limited deck spaces.
  • Partial shade borders as it is highly shade-tolerant for a yellow rose, requiring only 4+ hours of sun.
  • Cutting gardens where its beautifully structured blooms and intense citrus perfume can be brought indoors.

Care Tips

Plant in rich, well-draining soil. This variety boasts excellent natural disease resistance against mildew and black spots. Water deeply at the base, and prune back by one-third in late winter to maintain its shape.
