Characteristics

  • Color: An exquisite, muted blend of warm café au lait, soft milk-cocoa, and subtle apricot-pink undertones that deepen into a dusty vintage brown in cooler weather.
  • Type: Japanese Floribunda Shrub — produces incredibly dense, multi-headed spray clusters of delicate, cupped semi-double rosettes.
  • Fragrance: Very faint to light, featuring a highly subtle, clean tea scent.
  • Bloom Size: Petite to medium, averaging 2 to 2.5 inches wide with wavy, paper-thin petals.
  • Hardiness: USDA Zones 5–10.
  • Season: Exceptionally prolific and fast repeat-bloomer, flowering non-stop from late spring through late autumn.

Perfect For

  • Boutique floral designs and wedding work—it’s rare, earthy pastel colors are highly prized for vintage and rustic color themes.
  • Balconies, patios, and container gardening due to its remarkably slender, elegant, and compact growth habit.
  • Japanese-style or minimalist gardens seeking soft, muted tones over loud, vibrant colors.

Care Tips

Plant in full sun and well-draining soil, watering deeply at the root zone to keep the unique coffee-toned petals dry, and prune in early spring to shape this compact 50–80 cm shrub.
