Summer Fireworks rose is an exceptional Chinese garden shrub rose hybridized by Jiang Zhengzhi and introduced in 2012. Derived from the famous seed parent 'Heritage', it is globally celebrated for its explosive flower clusters, robust vigor, and dynamic, temperature-sensitive color transformations.

Characteristics

  • Color: A striking salmon-pink that softens to pastel pink in summer heat and deepens to warm orange tones in cooler weather.
  • Type: Shrub / Cut Rose — grows into a highly vigorous, rapid, and upright 5-to-6.5-foot frame with glossy foliage.
  • Fragrance: Faint to moderate; a sweet blend of green tea, mixed fruits, old rose, and myrrh.
  • Bloom Size: Medium, averaging 2.5 to 3 inches wide, producing heavily layered, cabbage-like double rosettes.
  • Hardiness: USDA Zones 5–10.
  • Season: Prolific repeat-bloomer, generating continuous, heavy flushes from early spring until late autumn frost.
